Stepping out

So I got tired of being at home all the time after work and decided to do something I hadn’t done in years: pack up a sketchbook & head to a cafe. I socialized with a man in finance who could use a creative break, a Starbucks employee studying to become a therapist, and a barista with plans to make big moves at 30 and who challenged me to come back to their open mic where she remembers me performing about 3 years ago. Enjoyed the socials and music like “one last breath” by Creed which I could hear a barista singing to. Good vibes, even if it means not hitting the gym in the morning 😂
