This is a page. Tada!
I'm getting grade school html nostalgia.
I feels the shy feelings.

Terrariums – who doesn’t want a little nature’s carpet in their home? I’ve been experimenting with them for the first time this year with varying results. My first attempt were the wild items in the background, and my most recent attempt in the foreground has continued with much better results. I was even able to revive a baby orchid in one of them!

Do you speak plant?
| Symptom | Translation |
| Wilting or curling leaves, but still green | When’s the last time you watered me? Intense heat can do this to me too – can you find me a cool spot in the shade for a bit? |
| Curling leaves, brown or yellow | I’m feeling stressed out. Are there spider mites on me? Did you move me recently? Please let me dry completely between waterings to prevent root rot & diseases. |
| Brown or yellow spots on healthy leaves | Please let me dry out between waterings. If my pot is plastic and keeping me wet too long, give me a terracotta pot or a fan. |
| brown tips on leaves | It’s been a dry winter, or your giving me nasty tap water again. Only the good stuff if you mind. |
| brown burn marks on succulents or rough leaf markings with discoloration on orchids | I’m getting sunburn here! Didn’t my directions say “indirect light”? |
| small flying gnats around plant | Those things are living in the top of my dirt, so please let me dry out completely and try bottom watering me for a bit instead, okay? (I wouldn’t say no to some beneficial nematodes either.) |
Back in 2011 when I was teaching English in Japan, I spent a day visiting an old friend in Nagoya and making this amusing cultural video on the fly with a cast who were never all together. (Kudos to Tommy for the triumphant editing process!)
